Congratulations to Bridget! She is one smart speller. Bridget placed 3rd at the region spelling bee.

Due to increased enrollment, the Iron County Board of Education is considering school boundary changes that will affect enrollment at South Elementary. These proposed changes will not become official until after the school board votes on the boundary adjustments on June 28th. In order to be fair to all of the students who will be attending or possibly attending South Elementary, we will NOT be taking teacher requests for the upcoming school year. In addition, next year’s class lists will not be available or posted until mid July. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate the growth in Iron County

Happenings at South

If a student needs to be checked out before the end of the school day, parents will need to come to the main office and show a form of picture ID and sign out student on sign out log. If the person picking up a student is not the parent, prior parental approval is required and the person picking the student up must be on the authorized Power School contact list or they will not be allowed to take the student. Students will not be called to the office prior to parents actually coming in to the building to sign them out. Please plan your pick-up time such that you have time to come in the building and sign the necessary documentation.
